anyone have any experience with these on boosted hondas ?

just stuck between going with a chipped ecu(chrome) or my power fc , have heard the apexi will have less features like launch control etc

If you have the apexi PRO version, that coming from AP engineering, have all the options, launch, antilag etc.

Even the ordinary version of power fc is a great ecu for boosted or N/A Hondas.
And a big advantage is also the commander that you can see anytime many things from your engine as water temp, iat, knock, battery volts, revs, boost pressure etc

Chrome, Neptune, Hondata etc are all better than having some apexi pony, map it properly or dont bother.

thats what i hear , but i dont understand how using a standalone is not mapping it "properly" , care to explain

Yes they are all easier for a honda, but the apexi isnt a pony??
Care to explain how it wont be mapped properly on the PFC?
The way your talking theres alot of high horsepower skylines imprezas etc that are not mapped properly..........

Im running an Apexi power FC on my Civic and its mapped "properly" in fact its mapped very well.

Care to explain rs250nut ? as i think your talking **** !

Only reason i went for the Apexi is the fact you can pick them up for a few hundred quid new now for the Hondas, does everything i need it to do, if you want launch control, datlogging etc. then go for something else but for the money its a decent bit of kit, just look at how much theses cost for other cars there in the region of £600 up and the fact is the Apexi power FC was designed and made for the Mazda RX7 hence FC.

As for the original question yes this will work with boost but i wouldn't recommend using the Power FC's boost function as i have herd its not all that great so go for a standard alone boost controller and have your mapper set it up and map it.

Wow......... Wind you neck in e-thug, For the money its not even in the same ball park as some of the systems I mentioned, yet again your paying for bullshit jdm prices. As you say does not do datalogging which is pretty important........... also the resolution of the maps are poor, its not pc based, yad yad yad you could go on for ever, oh and how does the rpm limiter work? Decent stuff uses an ingnition cut, what does the apexi poo use? Fuel cut, and what happens when you cut fuel at high rpms? YOU RUN LEAN AND GO BANG. Go ask any tuner worth his salt if he would consider using this on anything over hondata.........

wow are we really arguing over honda ecus over here :/

the more i read about the apexi the less i want to use it tbh

Not had any experience of them on a boosted honda, but had one on my evo and it was brilliant, especially for the price. Had the power fc along with an apexi boost controller (AVC-R) - allowed you to store multiple maps and switch between them. At the end of the day, any ecu is only as good as the person mapping it.

The power fc isn't a bad ecu but there a little out dated at this stage.
