ARC air intakes.. any good or just show pieces?

Picking up an ARC intake with the original filter and all for funk all in my opinion :D just wondering do they have good gains from them or should i just keep it for the shows and put another intake on when it comes to mapping time?
 
The AEM or Mugen ones are what most people go for.

Seen ARC ones before, but I don't see the advantages. Its not as 'direct' as the other ones. I think its more for show. Just my opinion.
 
Ive an aem v2 cai on the car at the moment, may just keep the ARC for the meets and shows so..
 
ARC gives smooth torque curves when mapping... or it should anyway:nice:
 
I,ve had my ARC on for a while and it improved throttle response on my car. I got mine for a bargain price other wise would not have bought one.

same as meself, i was buying an apexi rsm and afc neo at the time and the seller pulled out the arc box i asked how much expecting big money and he said a fairly cheap price so i went for it. going to see if i can swap around intakes on the day of the map to see what gains i get from both the arc and aem
