Are upside down number plates illegal??

i had my back 1 upside down last nite nad got pulled and i was jsut told to put it back properly!! the number plate itself is legal and it is clearly displayed, but its impossibe to read d redge at a glance if its upside down!! wat do u think???

But why to put it upside down? I don't get it.....
Btw, my project for exterior mods included a smaller number plate and it looks better now!

think its pointless even asking..what difference does it make to you if it upside down or not. just turn it.lol.
