If i were to buy a car which the driver recived an ASBO in. Would the asbo stay with the car and i would then get stopped all the time? Or does it stay with the driver? I'm planning a swap with a mate to give me money to begin saving for a 9 :)

I'd imagine it would stay with your mate. Unless your mate got the ASBO while he was in the car doing something daft then the car might be singled out.
 
Does it affect the sale value? IE, Will anyone care it has an asbo? Cheers for the replies
 
It would probably depend on the person who buys it whether itll affect value.. some folk might be bothered, some might not. Could be totally wrong though lol
 
Was it a section 59? thats effectively a motoring asbo, stays with the driver. But if its a local car will have more than likely have flags on it - depending how much of a ***** he was driving?

I got pulled once for no front plate, said i'll get it fixed and pulled again for no front plate - pulled virtually daily for next two weeks, variety of rubbish reasons and pointless questions each time!
 
Why would you want to buy a car from a person who received an ASBO in it anyway? Just goes to show the cars been ragged.
 
because mechanically everything is sound. I Know the driver and i know how he recieved the ASBO
