hi everybody,

i am just wondering, i am just about to turbo my ek9 i am going to be pushing around 300-400bhp, will i have to do anything to the gearbox so its capable of handiling that amount of power. Also is there any better way i can get the traction down better..? it would be a great help if anyone could help me.

stock trans is fine, you can break your lsd if you launch HARD on SLICKS with that much power but thats only drag racing with slicks, also for traction, you can get a traction bar, fullrace has the best ones.

I'm just wondering how on earth a 300-400 hp turbocharged EK9 can behave normally on the road. I think you definitely need 17 inch and at least 225 width wheels for the beginning. Also to fit your new brake system. How much you think this conversion will cost you???

the car is friendly on the road, stock brakes with upgraded pads are good enough, i drive on R compound tires so 205 is good enough i have a friend that has 500whp in a crx that only weighs 1900lbs!!!!

ahhh right well thats good i will have to look up these traction bars and have a read on them, you were saying 205 tires will be fine what size rim are you talking about 16,17, inch. i only have my standard ek9 rims on at the moment do u think i will have to change them or will they be fine??
which uprated pads would you recomend? and if im thinking about changing the disks would you recomend the standard ones or a aftermarket disc??
