Hi, iv just got my block back from Ireland where it was away being sleeved. I'm just needing to know what bearing clearances I will need when I come to building it back up? I'm using ACL race bearings and it's a 500bhp turbo build. I'm going to be using plastiguage to check the clearances. And I also need to know what the piston ring gaps should be?

Sorry if all this has been covered before but I just can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

Any help would be much appreciated.

If yr not sure get some1 to do it . U don't want it going wrong trying to cut corners

Does the acl bearings not only come in one size? Maybe I'm wrong but when I done mine I used oem honda bearings with plastiguage. How's your crank looking within tolerance size?

I'm really wanting to build the engine myself. The crank has been micro polished and balanced so the standard sized ACL race bearings should be fine but I'm wanting to know roughly what clearance I'm looking for on the mains and rods. I could assemble it and post up the clearances I get from the plastiguage and go from there?

They only come in one standard size, if the crank is standard just fit standard acl and get on with the rest

Thanks that's what I thought. I will start building it at the weekend and post the clearances I get just to make sure because I don't really want to just put them in a hope for the best then end up stunning a bearing.

Yes the standard ACL bearings should be Ok, if your crank is within OEM spec. The crank needs measured to be sure of this.

So iv just fitted the crank and the main clearances are all inbetween 0.0020 and 0.0025, will this be ok for the power im going for?

Crank clearances doesn`t matter for the power. It is OEM spec so fit std size bearnings.
