well all

im after doin and engine swap on my ek3

and just lookin to get and extra few bhp out of it .

i can get a complete b16b inlet mani fuel rail injectors and throttle body.

so far the bits i have to go on the car are mugen 4 branch, decat, apex N1 cat back, B16b cams, j's racing induction kit, cold air feed and box, apexi neo to map it.

any other lil mods that would help me up the bhp a bit?:drive:

go for ITR throttlebody as the EK9 item is the same diameter as the EK4.

maybe best trying to get hold of the ITR inlet and t`body as one.

just stick with your injectors/fuel rail also.

ah righ so no real diffrence on ctr inlet at all i know the tb is the sam diameter..

but why stick with my injectors and f/rail? no diffrence either?

also did you get them ek4 clocks today?

if you can get an ITR t`body match it to an EK9/ITR intake manifold.

the fuel rail on the b16a is fine for around up to 300bhp so no point in changing that and the injectors if your just doing bolt ons etc.

no didnt get the clocks yet bud,did they collect the other items?
pm`d you on other forum anyway.

alri thanks for that..

he shold have got them today!!

jamie in vtec performance rang me today sayin that there getting collected 2moro!

If you fitted the said ITR inlet manifold and throttle body would you have to get the car mapped? or will the ecu figure it out over time?

Sorry to threadjack!

would need mapped to get the best outa it,itr tb might be bit big on a standard ish b16

i will put all my parts on before mapping..

prob got with itr tb on the ctr inlet..

I have actually seen a small loss in low down power with using ITR intake mani+tb on a b16a but it's worth a couple of bhp up top especially if you fit some type r cams and a mapable ecu(not apexi neo piggyback)

yeah thats prob right..

id like too get it mapped by yourself but wont have the cash just yet

Yeah it was proven by a guy called Richard Holdener (who has the worlds fastest Civic) that an ITR intake mani will cause you to lose power unless you fit much more aggressive cams. Your stock mani will be the best match for your current set up, after all Honda spent many hours designing it to be so
