just woundreing if you take your b16b head of fit with eg skunk2 valves, valve springs, retainers, cams(which ones is best) and place it on a b18c bottom will the injectors need to be upgraded to and will i need a apexi power fc comander?? and inlet manafold need changeing too??

also how much is a complete b16b worth these days??

im doing the exact same thing, but i will have the brian crower valves. my mechanic said the prelude injectors should be fine with mine, also mine is going to be in a eg6. also i bought the integra type r manifold and throttlebody. im going for theskunk2 pro stage 1, was thinking of the pro stage 2 but will need more compression and also not sure about the valve clearance (but the pro 2's has been done with my friends eg and not had a problem)

ok lads have another question now! could i just put a b18c crank and con rods into my b16b and she would be stroked??? or is this a stupid question???

is there a difference in the pistons??? do they both not take the same piston rings??!

Both take same rings and are same diameter but piston design is different, b16b PCT piston has a taller dome giving higher compression where as the P73 b18c piston wouldn't give as high compression if used in the same block.

like vtec6000 stated, CR would be too high and valve to deck clearance issues might occur. i wouldn`t run that high of a CR on a stock engine with high mileage on it`s back. too bad for the rings leading to oil consumption and compression loss.

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's too high CR. high 11's, low 12's are fine once tuned for the given setup to ensure it runs safe and if running standard cams you won't have any clearance problem obviously with a custom tune on this setup you will yield more power than a stock b18c but IMO if you want to go down the route of increasing compression Id buy some aftermarket pistons which will be better designed for producing the high CR and alot lighter than the PCT pistons.

thanks for the help lads starting to strip the b18c tomorrow ill keep yas updated as i go ok! another thing what would be the best trottle body be???? il obviously need to change that! will the injectors be suficent??
