b18c4 bottom end b16b head ecu options?

basically iv got a full b18c4 but going to put my b16b head on the b18c4 bottom end, am I right in thinking a standard ecu will work fine? if go for uprated ecu the likes of chrome, spoon etc these should work fine? only reason I ask is I know with a full b18c4 you need ecu with b18c4 chip

I'm no expert but I can't see this setup working very well with standard ECU. Maybe good for going to the tuner, but B16B cams are a lot more aggressive than B18c4, so the fueling will be completely different! I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me will chime in soon...
 
the standard ecu option is only to run it in sorry forgot to mention this :)

If it was me personally I'd get it tuned properly. Even a P28 with Chrome would be better than nothing. You'll have a much nicer drive from it. :nice:

i just need it to run, test it and be able to drive it hard :) my old spoon ecu was great and wish I hadn't sold it just wanted to know if anyone had any better ideas (not to expensive) for ecu options
 
I'd say the ITR ecu will be the closest to what you need. The C4 ecu won't work as you haven't got the C4 manifold any more (you'll throw a cell).
 
ITR ECU will be better than the EK9.

At least it'll be feeding the right amount of fuel and with a lower CR you should have a huge margin for ignition timing.

already got a skunk2 black series inlet manifold on the ek9 head which wont fit the c4 head and ek9 cams arw more aggressive so should be a niceix of some extea torque compared to ek9 bottom end
