B20 powered EF9 SiR

Managed to get a Shot of the engine bay. not the best of all engine bays as its more function than form being a daily ride.

EF9s will never be as fast as the EKs but hey, they're the 1st civics to be VTEC powered :)

Think you got that wrong lol, let me correct it for you

Ek's will never be as fast as ef9s, light extremely nimble and a complete powerhouse :nice:

light i agree. but chassis-wise I believe its abit dated as compared to the EKs which clearly have improved chassis rigidity. In a straight line the EF will just monster the EKs and even the FD2Rs thats for sure. I have yet to see the EF break any records on any time attack shootout in my region though. but nevertheless its driving feel is still much more raw as compared to its modern counterparts. :nice::nice:

Talking about handling ave not driven a better handling car then my Ef, it's just awesome around corners, owned dc2, ek's ,eg's and riven loads of vtec's but the Ef's are in there own league, like I said its light extremely nimble

What's works been done on your Chassis & Suspension?

Beautiful ef9 mate best civics ever made and ever will be in my opinion! I have an ee9 which i'm respraying. I would have loved an ef9 but insurance was a no no

go check out the specs i've posted previously on this thread.... its all there :) the seam welding was the best modification to this chassis IMO. all thats left is the safety21 Roll cage. But wont be stripping the interior as I need my creature comforts. :nono:

well lets just use my neighbouring country's racetrack as a benchmark... malaysia's Sepang F1 international circuit. a FD2R with semi slicks clocks about in the low 2.30s. EGs/EKs around high 2.30s to 40s. sadly for the EF its like 2.50s or higher....Will be heading down there soon to set a benchmark timing but it'll be on street radials..

I repeat my question about numbera of this B20 setup, cause I have one and Yours sounds quite 'fat' :)

its only 200BHP atw but the torque at high revs is poor due to the restrictive exhaust. I do not have the video of the dyno though. and at the end of the day figures are just that. Figures. How the torque and HP curve goes is another thing altogether which is why im not really bothered by about how many horses it actually makes as compared to other builds.

Small Little Update... Got a few stuff done to the car like getting a bolt on roll cage and I've Ditched the Fujitsubo Exhuast to something less restrictive but much louder hence the Engine now makes like 210HP ATW which is kind of enough. Managed to Have a small test session on track with the EF9 on the Sepang International Circuit and I must say it was surprisingly faster than what I 1st expected! Was expecting a 2.51 or more (Benchmark time set by another Malaysian EF civic at the last Time attack Shootout) but I managed to dial in a 2.45. not too bad but Learnt that its time I to Let Go of my TEIN HA suspension as it sucked both on track and on the street. Brakes were another Issue as the pads were not up to par. I'm thinking of getting KW Variant 3s as they are both bound and rebound adjustable but only problem is that their spring rates are unknown. Oh and BF Goodridge Geforce Rival Tyres are just excellent! better than the Bridgestone RE11 that I've had previously. Highly Recommend it!

Yes thats right. No thanks to the system here in my country which makes cars only last ten years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certificate_of_Entitlement

Mine is lucky to have its certificate Renewed and it will last till 2021. 6 EF9s including mine were grey imported from japan. and sadly mine is the only example left here. Many Great cars were reduced to half cuts thanks to this ridiculous system here. A failed system IMHO.
