backbox cracked, power loss?

Hi all, today i noticed that my civic wasn't pulling low down like it normally does,
when i pull out if junctions and the like it feels like i have no low down power..
top end seems fine tho?
as soon as i pulled up to my house i could hear the exhaust blowing, and its cracked on the outer edge of the backbox..

where i've highlighted in green is where the crack is on my backbox..
its not quite all the way around, but over half way..

could this be my problem with the power loss low down??

any help would be apreciated...

You will loose some power yeah as your interrupting the flow. Loss will be quite minimal though.

Sorry couldnt resist! You say you notice this lack of grunt at the same time you noticed the exhaust?

Like said, a blow will have an effect on the feel of the performance especially lower down.

A cracked backbox won't do a thing mate.

It's funny you say you felt it had no low down power..cos your car has crazy low down power haha as i've driven it quite a few times!

Must have been all in your head mate as i cant see a cracked back box making much difference

Yeah, it normally is really good. and was really good when i went out a bit ago.
But on the way home from work just seemed really restricted low down..

I think it's just the weather Air pressure does all sort of crazy things. I lost 10 hp in 5 minutes due to a low pressure front (seen on dyno pressure meter).
