Anybody no de best way to fool de insurance company when trying 2 insure an ek9?? its easy to tell them its a vti or SiR they never check but when ya go to claim your ****ed:nice:

most companies will tell u they have never heard of an ek9 and if u mention anything about type r they will either give u a ridiculous quote or just tell u that they dont insure them type of cars!! im only 19 and own an ek9 has anybody got any ideas??? :nice::nice::nice:

Don't lie, plain & simple. If you do & have a shunt then it bumps up the premiums of honest folk...as well as leaving you uninsured for your loss!

You need a quote from a specialist insurer such as Sky, & if you cant afford it as i suspect you wont @ 19, then its not the car for you....

Try 123.ie and use the Type R (Four door), then when you ring them to follow up change it to the 3 door.

do you allready hav a policy? or is this your first insurance, buy some shed lik a micra or sumthing and insure that and re-register your ek9 in a parents name, ring quinn direct and insure the micra and your allowed drive the ek9 because its not in your name, and no the ek9 does not hav to be insured by the parent your insurance covers you 3rd party, but you must hav a full license, :D easy peasy lemon squezy

not the best way to insure your pride and joy as its only THIRD PARTY.. not even fire and theft.. so if its robbed, burnt or crashed your insurance isn't worth a ****.. you dont even get a disk for the window.. all your really payin for is to be able to say your insurance covers ya.. it would be worth payin more to insure it right in the first place and have it covered right from day one!!!!

I got a quote with123.ie and the quote was unbelievable good,Quinn wont quote me even though I'm with them so feck them anyway

Did u insure it as a type r as most people I've talking to don't. I have to get insurance on mine in April. What kind off euro's are you's paying on yours.
