Best power gains to the pound ££

What sort of money are they going for now imported?

Grade 3.5s are the best value for money at the moment. Can get one to your door for about 5k, that is with around 80k kilometres. Grade 4s with the same sort of millage are usually going for 7-10k, but some slip through the gaps for a good price! I don't know what companies like Torque GT and the likes would charge though. Probably a little more as they are a business and need to profit somewhere.

To be honest mate, as you are only keeping the 9 for 3 months, spending much money on it will be pretty pointless. I would just keep the car OEM and appreciate it for what it is, because seriously, it is an amazing car right out of the box. All it needs is a good service, any worn suspension or steering parts replaced and some good tyres (AD08). You won't get bored of it in 3 months, and when you come to sell you probably won't have lost much either.

Keep the 9. It's still a fairly practical car. And most Audis are common and extremely boring anyway.

i have got the exhaust and filter to enjoy the vtec so I suppose that will be enough :D

Im sure you will see the light on your first 'prope'r drive in it.
I remember my first nine. I test drove and couldn't believe how slow it felt. Then i took it round the twisties near home and was blown away. Never really looked back!
It will feel a lot more responsive and connected the road than your audi.
as stated a good set of tyres and a service will see you ok.
Plus tou cant beat the feeling you get from driving something a bit special. Then we are biast on here :p

Gearbox mods, mfactory gearset or change the final drive. I have the mfactory 3 4 5 gears and its great!

I am agree with fljoshua.
For 3 months or so, just add to the 9 a good set of tires and enjoy it (along with the exhaust and air filter you already got).

But as said, whe you "test" it in, let's say mountain roads, maybe your mind changes...
It's possible you feel the special R spirit there... and remember, this is the small one of the family. Not bad out of the box and for its age!
