best tranny fluid!!

so is this seriously highly recommended?

better than Honda OEM oil? a lot better?

LOL I am just like you...a bit apprehensive about trying new stuff.

send me some mazda rx-2 parts and ill send you some synchromesh hahah j/k you guys have any GM dealerships out there, i think its under the name holden isent it?

hahaha, RX-2? man thats old, what part are you looking for?
hmmm, I know that Holden engines are from GM and we do have a chrysler, but not sure about they using the same oil and it would be bottled and labeled differently. I'll have to check but doubt the locals know anything, even Pennzoil in AUS hasn't heard of synchromesh...

koruptEk9: Yes, Vauxhaul monaro is actually from Australia. lol Called Holden Monaro which gets their engines from GM. hahaha funny hey

haha sorry i forgot, im back home now, but i just realized something, you can also purchase it from any GM dealership, its part number is: 12345349 or 12345577. it should say GM synchromesh on the bottle. one is friction modified the other is not, i use the non-modified one, it might cost a little more from the dealership but it should still be cheaper than me shipping it to you :nice:

the reason GM sells it is becuase it was originally designed by pennzoil for GM, thats why they both sell it.

thats great. . . :thanks:

nice info!

anyone source this in the UK yet?

if not I will join in the search..

just check the holden dealership, if they are using GM engines then im sure they have GM gearbox also, so they would be using the GM synchomesh, they might call it holden synchromesh

hmm the Manaro isn't called Holden here.

it is Vauxhall VXR, might give Vauxuall dealer a call.

Geezz... I can't believe no one knows the Vauxhual VXR and Pontiac GTO is actually a Holden Monaro. It's made in Australia for goodness sakes...

Blinx: Holden synchromesh <---LOL I do not want to put some holden crap into a Honda... You serious on getting some parts for a RX-2? What parts?

So has anyone in the uk sourced this product yet ??? It sounds like the Ek9's box miracle fluid !! Defo have to get my hands on some !!

Cheers - Andy

hey jug,

did you call pennzoil & they told you they they don't have it? i think i saw an ad in last months street machine.

i changed my gearbox oil inn the ek9 recently for land rover MTF94 (same as reccomended honda MTF2 but cheaper) gearchanges are noticably smoother :D

i think i might try Amsoil Syn MTF...

is this similar to the Pennzoil type?

not as smooth as it would have been with pennzoil synchromesh :(

you know its funny you ask cause i was gonna send some to someone on here, but i dont think it will pass customs, post office said it was not allowed :nono: im gonna ask another post office, about the clutch, i can get them, they are heavy though so shipping will cost a bit and it might not be worth it for you, if you want pm me the clutch you like and i'll see what i can do :nice:
