Right went for a blast earlier today with a mate, noticed smoke inside the cabin! so we pulled over, and on the right hand side (timing belt side) of engine was leaking oil, wasnt coming from the rocker cover gasket, also noticed there was Fozzie Bear loads of oil on that side of the bonnet dripping down all over the lower engine mount, put a bit of oil in and drove back home (less than a mile) slowly, let the car cool down and checked oil, there was still oil in, just above the bottom mark, where as before i left there was oil just before the top mark, so quite a bit of oil has come out of some where,

rang up local mechanic and he saying it is the cam seal, but i have timing belt cover and that part of teh rocker cover on, so i dont understand how it would get on the bonnet, and why the cam gears and timing belt are dry, also me and a friend changed the oil pump (used the integra type r manual for a guide) and we did it by the book, it could be urinating out of there..any suggestions. really baffling us now.

thanks

cam seal is on the other side(left hand side) id defo start with checking the oil pump

just 2 wee cam seal rings but cant see that amount of oil coming outa them mate

hm, all the pulleys and belts are dry, they would be soaking if it was the oil pump. will hve to strip it down tommorow.

maybe you forgot to put something back on or something is on wrong?

Take a closer look-see. Oil is easy to trace back, just follow the slick. Or open the hood up and rev it up a bit while you or someone else watches for oil spray.

tried revving it up while someone checks, no oil comes out, only when i go for a drive and hit vtec.

take it in to your shop. they will find the leak.

found out it was coming from the rocker gasket, replaced that, theres still oil everywhere so need to clean up, take for a spin and see if theres any more oil left.
