This really pains me to do this, but in a nutshell, my wife is pregnant with our second child, and although its not due until early september the reality of it is that I'm going to need a bigger more practical car, which means I'm going to have to take the plunge for the first time ever and buy a 4 door car. This is a big step for me as I've only ever owned hot hatches and sports coupes. My original plan was to keep the civic for as long as I possibly could and then sell it on, but as this has been on my mind and as I work on the road everyday I've been looking around to see what 4 door cars take my fancy and more importantly what 4 door I think I could be happy owning.

So, at the weekend, I did actually find a car that took my fancy, almost instantly actually! and as soon as I got home I got on the net to see what they go for and if there was any for sale as nice as the one I saw on the road, and I'll be damned the actually car taht I was eyeing up is actually for sale! Having spoke to the bloke selling it the car sounds great and I'm going to arrange a viewing.

This advert is really just a 'gauging interest' ad to see what interest it fetches, purely because if it doesn't sell quickly, and I mean quickly, then I will stick with my original plan of keeping it as long as I can and carry on with a few extra mods which I had intended for it.

So, enough of that and onto the car!!

Its a 2003 '03 Nighthawk Black pearl 30th Anniversary Edition. - 1 of 300 in total, and 1 of 100 black cars.

What makes these special limited editions unique are the following extra's as standard over the original type R.

- Red Recaro bucket seats (JDM spec)
- Red carpet throughout (JDM spec)
- Rear privacy tinted glass (JDM spec, and actual tinted glass, not film)
- Momo steering wheel (JDM spec)
- A/C - which blows ice cold
- Rear headrests

Basically its a UK registered car but with full JDM spec interior.

Recent work I have carried out on the car - New wheels and tyres, and just had the wheels professionally powder coated white as they were originally gunmetal and they didn't do anything for the car imo, new tuner type locking wheel nuts, brand new Mintex discs and pads all round, freshly painted the calipers red, new auxiliry belt, new passenger side drive shaft outer gaiter, new passenger side track rod end. I also had it MOT'd on saturday where it passed with 2 advisories, - passenger side suspension top mount has movement, and drivers side lower wishbone ball joint rubber boot is split. These 2 advisories will be sorted, I have arranged to pick up a complete suspension set up from 'shaunctr' on here this wednesday, they were removed from his 60k ep3 and are in perfect condition, so I will be swapping both my front shocks for those. And the rubber boot for the lower wishbone is only £10 from honda so I will be getting that replaced as well.

MOT - May 2011 (as I got it done a week or so before it was due)
TAX- Sept 2010 (Valid until end of Aug)

3 Previous owners, the last 2 being members on here, so 3 CTROC members including myself.

The mileage is currently on 98k, this may be slightly more than others available but it has been very well looked after and maintained throughout its life with a folder full of receipts.

Service history is as follows:-

12,500 mile service done at 10,633 miles @ Alan day Honda 26/2/04
25,000 mile service done at 21,569 miles @ Fawcetts Honda 17/2/05
37,500 mile service done at 30,672 miles @ Lookers Honda 2/3/06
50,000 mile service done at 44,124 miles @ System R (Honda specialists) 1/11/06
62,500 mile service done at 58,463 miles @ Subaru Prosport 15/11/07
75,000 mile service done at 71,549 miles @ Subaru Prosport 29/8/08
87,500 mile service done at 84,239 miles @ Unit8 26/5/09
100,000 mile service done at 94,830 miles by myself 4/3/10

All of the above service I have receipts for, and I changed the oil filter for a genuine Honda filter, Castrol Magnatec oil, and replaced the gearbox oil with genuine Honda MTF3 gearbox and diff oil.

Although in the pictures the car looks pretty damn mint, it does have a few small signs of bearing 7 years, the rear bumper has a couple of small marks on it, the front bumper has a very small peice of laquer peel on it (really not noticable) the usual stone chips on bonnet (find an ep3 that doesnt have any there!) and it has a couple of small car park dings around the car, again not noticable really but just being honest, and nothing that a good dent removal specialist could do to make the bodywork spot on. They are all minor imo and I'm just being as honest as possible.

The price of £5500 is non negotiable, its really testing the water, I'll let the car go for that price, but not a penny less, if it doesn't sell I'll be more than happy to enjoy it for another few months! :)

Please note that the double din Alpine headunit is not included in the sale, nor are the red JDM mats, these can be bought with the car if you wish, but only at an agreed price, otherwise the original cd headunit and black mats will be fitted.
