Black RX project


cheers for the comments guys, going to play with the coilovers some more and bring the front up a tad and maybe the rear a little lower. Rides nice and smooth on the coilovers which i was very surprised about and the best thing is i've no more rattles! :D
 
Top job mate, looks really nice! You fitted the bumper yet? :secret:

I may be doing my rocker cover soon as it's starting to flake - did you just sand/wire wheel the old paint off then etch prime etc?

cheers, havent got the bumper fitted. Still trying to get a good painter to do it right. The rocker cover i put nitromors on it first then sanded it down. Masked off all the holes then etch primered it, set it infront of a heater and used the vht paint. I cured mine too quickly though before it had time to wrinkle fully.
 
so i fixed the knocking my car had at the rear (possibly rear shocks or droplinks) but now my car squeaks and creaks at slow speeds, stopping starting etc...

oem clutch kit ordered, hopefully that cures my transmission woe's or id be saving for a rebuild kit! :( . bought speakers too but got the wrong ones and they're bloody tiny! :mad:

I have also came to a saddening realisation with this car that in the three years or so that i've owned it i've barely covered 11K miles! :angry:
 
good progress, we must have an N/I meet when we,re all done, alot of honda heads around enniskillen these days! where did u get ur innovative 62a mounts and how much if you dont mind me asking!

a meet would be good, more guys from our area on here now. I got the mounts off another member on here.
 
very nice example of a black 9, sitting well on the bc's! id paint the letters and "H" black on that rocker if it were mine :naughty:

cheers, still have to adjust them a little more. going lower :eek:. Keep meaning to shave off the paint on the lettering and do something like that, just trying to get other things sorted first.
 
Discovered that the bracket that supports the exhaust manifold was completely sheered in two, so got that welded back together and refitted last night. Lucky i spotted it before my manifold started breaking at the flange. :nerv:
 
Front end needs painting with the other bumper fitted. Got to sort out the syncro's too but, im happy with the car again. No more squeeking, rattles or knocks! :D








 
Just gone through this again for the second time, looking clean and raw pal!
