Hello, sorry i know this i an old thread, but to answer your simple question, yes you can run up to about 350whp (i personally would even push to about 380whp for a street car) on stock rods, stock honda rods are forged, there just skinny, however eagle rods which can hold about triple that power figure are only about $300. I have run 14-15 psi on a t3/t04e with oem rods making 317whp, now i run 12psi on a gt3076r making 333whp, still stock rods, hope this helps, sorry to disagree with most of you guys, but unless you have the experience or technical information to back what you say, consider what you type perhaps? it's all too easy to jump on the bandwagon and give wrong info, one person even joking and saying corvette rods, really?
Hi,
it is safe to run 12-15psi with oem rods in a b16 engine?
Good to now. Here with have one of the best tuners of south/central america, he even made some maps for east US, so the tuning is not a problem.with correct mapping yes, a friend of mine was running 15psi on his b16a2 with stock internals
What engine is that on?
I finally got 13psi with the stock internal.
The car is making 309whp with 13psi, with pump gas and no problem.
The sping is 13psi, but we can only reached 12psi on the dyno.

dont try it mate, just wasting of time m money
By stock it's usually stock rods, pistons, sleeves etc. Depending on what engine you use, you won't need a thicker HG but I can't see the harm. Yeah, things like the turbo, manifold/downpipe/intercooler etc (basically something like a race tech kit), larger injectors, uprated fuel pump, oil lines and fittings are amongst what's needed!
