brake server

hey guys new to this so bare with me...the brake server is going in my ek9 at the mo and was just wondering would the brake server from a 1.4 civic fit and work in the type r as I am struggling to find a type r server(plus there expensive)..if any1 could answer me would be greatly appreciated

Could get a Ej9 1.4 one to work but I wouldn't recommend it as it wouldn't be up to the job of supporting the larger master cylinder of the ek9. Brake pedal would feel rather soft upon braking. Have you tried looking for one off a dc2 itr?

yea I was thinkin that...no ive priced a new one from honda and there about 400euro, the recesssion has hit me so I cant realy afford one so close to xmas..a dc2 server would fit obviously wudnt it??

Yes it will fit. Why not get a used one? There is lots of people breaking honda's for parts. I see your in Ireland, what part?

from kilkenny...since I was last talkin to you Ive been to see john stone,uve probably heard of him...he has the car but reckons the server is ok, just sumtin minor thats wrong..thank god..u driving ek9 urslf??

That's good. Yeah John is a good guy. Used to have a EK9 sold it almost a year ago.

Impreza sti type r. Converted my g.f's 1.4 civic to a b16a so drive that when I feel like a dose of vtec

Sitting about the 350bhp mark. Big spec alright. Biggest mod been the new Sti8 engine. Still like driving the vtec's totally different drive to a turbo car. Nothing like redlining at 8k+ rpm

yea this one my first jap car so will be hard to let it go but have dc5 in mind, hopefully in the new year..ive driven scooby before yea, ur dead right completely different, good different though

Ah a few things,, Have a mugen air box intake, Spoon 4 branch,Spoon b-pipe, spoon N1 backbox, dc de-cat, spoon front and rear struts, Bc coilovers..(only fitted last night), Seibon carbon bonnet

Have few parts coming over christmas..Much done to yours..Like the sound of your exhaust..What is it?? Seen you go through bagenalstown a while ago

not a whole lot done really lad..have ARC air box intake,the super induction 1s, katimoto racing exhaust system, 5ziegen de-cat on the way + apexi neo..had bought a mugen 4 branch but sold it on again,stupid really..want coilovers badly doh..how much u pay for urs?

Oh katimoto that should be nice and loud is it?? Paul doyle from ballinkillen has one on his dc5..
I got the bc coilovers for 600euro in couture auto in dunboyne in meath..They were on in a big sale..Think the civic ones are sold out but you can check with them..
