broke down at cosford (Wolverhampton area)

Hello, not in any honda powered device unfortunately but my alternator has gone on my vw polo when i was driving into Telford yesterday. managed to get it back to work but dont have any tools with me at all. just wondering if anyone near me would have a couple of spanners i could borrow (totally ridiculous know!) and if anyone even know the best place to get another one?
any help would be great!
