Burning oil smell

How many of you guys suffer with the smell of burnt oil when you stop, noticed it for the last few months hasn't dropped much oil around a litre in a couple months but alot more people notice the smell.

maybe have a oil leak? my dad used to get this on his subaru, and it turned out to be the sump weeping a little and the oil was blowing back onto the down pipe.

Check is there is a oil leak and you can't see anything oil leak... I would take it to your local garage and ask for they check piston ring and valve stem seals how they do it is they do a Cylinder leak down test. Compression test

Sometimes after you stop after a hard drive you will get a will of hot cat. This can be mistaken for oil small as is smells a bit sweet.

Check your oil breather catch tank isn't cracked (the black coffin shaped lump on the back of engine) they are prone to cracking and then they drip oil on the exhaust/cat hence the burning smell.
