Bushell's ej9 (New shoes, P7 )

Aye cheers guys means a lot :). Car is in dyer need of some paint now though as its starting to annoy me :'(. Slow and steady though haha

So this weekend has been another one spent messing about with the car, fitted a new centre section to quieten down the exhaust as mega loudness on a wee 1.4 just isn't for me.

Then decided my rear lip wasn't sitting right so I removed it and fixed it on so its all lined up better now, whilst I was waiting on the sealer drying on the lip I decided to strip and clean the rear brakes.
As the drums were off I decided to paint them so sanded down primed and painted them. Then thought it would be rude not to do the fronts so did that as well.
Then picked up a carbon fibre ek9 spoiler, obviously a rep as ek9's never had carbon fibre ones ect. Not exactly 10/10 condition but im happy with it so :p Some pics to follow as always :)

Looking good mate :) get that spoiler fitted!

Change in circumstances about the spoiler so its not getting fitted any more :( not to worry though. Still happy with my progress :)

No much has been happening until today really, car has been away to the bodyshop for the best part of 3 weeks as there was a few things I wanted sorted out, wanted a better finish on the door mouldings, side skirts lips, bits touched up on the bumper and the rear quarter. pics below of bad stuff,

Paint was peeling every time I washed the car which was driving me mad.

So went into the bodyshop and got the following painted
Rear bumper
Rear splitter
O/s/r quarter treated for rust (ended up being rotten, guy did the best he good but will come back pretty soon)
Door mouldings
Side skirts
Front splitter
Front bumper corner

Waiting on handles getting done and trying to sort something out mirror wise.
Everything on the car was done except the rear splitter reacted which was frustrating

Had the car back for nearly 2 weeks now so decided to clean it up, some pics,

Clayed all non painted areas

Fitted new seats :D

Then drafted in my brother to machine polish it with The following
Kestral das6 pro machine
Various chemical guys Hex logic pads
Auto glym srp
Gtechnique P1 polish

Then sealed the whole car except the rear bumper with 2 layers of hd wax, leaving the rear bumper for another week to let the paint cure/de-gas

All of this took the best part of 12 hours, not quite finished yet, still a few areas to refine with the machine polisher but very happy with it now :)

Thanks for taking time to look and read, all c+c's welcome :)

Looks like a great job with the paint buddy :)

The front seats match the rears well. When's the carbon spoiler going on? It's cleaner than my rep ;)

Thanks dean mate, its really good. Wee bit lighter on the mouldings but not really noticeable, im just fussy haha

Cheers king. Plan on keeping this for a long time :)

Hahahaha ally brilliant, no longer have the spoiler now. So just staying as it is at the moment.
