Well, I'm back again, again, again and again probably. Hopefully finally learnt my lesson and wont sell this for a while but we will see haha.

So after selling the nine, I took the next logical step, I bought a Leon diesel....o_O tried to be sensible again.

Its a pretty well sorted car, it was originally an ej9 and has a b18c4 and disc conversion etc, everything that made it an ej9 has been removed so I just call it an ek now haha.

So as I said, pretty well spec'd, I got it in April from down in Cambridge, It was a long drive home with no radio and no company but it drove well so I was happy.

Got it home and first thing was to change the steering wheel from the kode one to my personal one

Then got the wheels done in silver, 1 just to try and brighten it up a bit and 2 to try and put my own touch on the car..

Thanks to @Steve M for the pic too

Then just the usual, clean it up etc, to be honest looks better in the photos but didn't want something as clean as my nine as I would never drive it, don't feel as bad giving this a bit of abuse when I rarely use it haha.

Got it on a ramp for the usual check over, found a leak from the o/s driveshaft seal and play in the track rod ends and upper control arms so got replacements..

Next to go was the seats in a bid to get rid of the red theme and obviously be a bit more scene, sold the cobras and bought Some black spgs, painted the calipers yellow instead of red as well, ties in with the rocker cover now so getting a wee theme going.

Was feeling a little sluggish to start recently too so I thought it was maybe just due to lack of use so left it running for a few hours went a drive and went to fill up with fuel, turned it off and it still never started, tested the battery and it was goosed so got a new one fitted.

It occasionally flashed the immobiliser light and failed to start before I changed the battery and hasn't done it since changing it, could a knackered battery of been the problem?

in amongst all this I bought a golf to use daily which turned out to be an absolute wreck after buying off a ''friend'' ended up making a 1300 loss and bought another ssb ej9 as a daily :run:

In the last week I fitted my spgs got it mot'd and after 3 different garages and 3 hours today I got it aligned, not a five minute job with the adjustable camber arms for sure, so that's it ready to play with, still have a slight oil leak from the driveshaft seal so no idea why but will try using an oem seal next, last one I used was from jsp..

lastly found a public weighbridge so fired the civic on, jumped out and it was at 980kg with just under half a tank

Well, thanks for reading all that or at the very least looking at the pictures. Probably missed wee bits and bobs but will try keep it up to date. As for plans, I want a facelift rear bumper, carbon boot and just to kick its arse. Hope to track it at knockhill at some point but really want to get the gearbox oil leak fixed so I don't do any damage to my car or others.

Please, all comments welcome as always.

Thanks :)

Love ssb! how is the fitment on the air walker bumper?

Cheers, to be honest not all that bad, the inner corners of the lights and the bottom of the grill stick out a bit but no mad gaps at the wings or anything.

I preferred it when he had the first mouldings lip on.
You've made some good improvements though .

Ah you know the car then? Yeah that was some look like. Think the bumper and lip is for sale the now, I prefer the bys though.

Thanks man

I watched the build on civiclife. Yeah he was selling the front bumper and lip separately. The BYS bumper is very nice just I always think it needs and inter cooler in that large opening haha.

Ahh, yeah that's were I read up on it before I bought it. Yeah I either need to paint the cross member black or ssb then mesh the bumper I think. Has all the wee clips at the back of the bumper to hold mesh in place. Just something else on the to do list
