As the title says, whats the best mod you have done to your b16b?

In my case, aftermarket ecu + 4.78 final drive :bow:

thats an easy one.

best engine mod: turbo+aem ems
best suspension mod: R compound tires
best exterior mod: spoon spoiler
 
Wait a bit for the Power FC to come and I will tell you!! :D

most noticeable for me was brakes, lots of others that made difference as a package but single item nothing touched the brakes (b16a2, ek9 has slightly better brakes so not as bad for you guys)

i'm still trying to learn technical bits about cars....what is 4.78 final drive? is it something to do with the transmission??:eek:

Stock EK9 transmission has 4.4 FD just like the stock 96 DC2. However, the 98 DC2 has 4.78 FD which means the gears are shorter, hence, more power and torque by sacrificing some of your top speed. You can buy of course shorter gear ratios like 4.9 FD which is recommended only for track use. :nice:

Thats correct, and as manos said, you sacrifice top speed, for faster acceleration :nice:

oops forgot about brakes!! that was a good mod too since ej6 has small rotor up front and drum in the back :angry:
 
Sticking the ek9.org sticker on the back of the car.

I swear its given me at least 5bhp :lol: ;) :rolleyes:
 
best iv done so far is a good cold air feed and 4-1 manifold. CTR cams n a gas flowed head next hope to see a good improvment when thats all done.

im away to put the 4.78 fd into my ek4 in the next few months. how much top speed did u loose
 
new tires! the RE001 is just as good as the RE01 i had before even during wet conditions, i love it! :D
