Unfortunately it's now insurance renewal time of year for me :(

Was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for good companies to try when you own an engine swapped car with a rollcage? I'm currently with Adrian Flux, haven't checked with them to see whether they cover cages or not yet

I'm 23 (24 in August) and the car is a B18 swapped EK coupe with a bolt in cage

Thanks

Adrian flux have insured evey mod on my car for a very competitive price, including my engine swap!
The only thing is, I haven't got a cage, but I can't see it bumping the price up by much!

Iv got full weld in and b18 swaped ek9 with a heap load of other stuff.
Insured through sky insurance. Super helpfully and great to deal with.

Thanks guys! Sky were the first people I was going to try so it seems they should be able to help!

Try greenlight too bud they seem good on insurance. When I got a quote most mods are free to have not knocking sky but they charged me 50 quid for an induction kit where as greenlight no charge because its not a massive power mod.
There's a guy called neil on this forum who represents them

We offer some great quotes on engine swapped cars, roll cages wont be a problem either.

if you wanted to send me a PM with your contact details i could run a quote through for you.

If you cover less than 7500 miles a year you would also qualify for a reduced mileage discount.

We also offer track day cover from £45 if you want to track yours.

Best Regards

Let us know about planned modification at renewal state or quotation stage and we can build them into your policy so no charge when they are added.

Thanks

Thanks for the recommendation

Just to confirm we can add mods throughout the policy term without charge, it doesnt have to be at the quote stage or renewal stage. You can just PM the details and i'll take care of it this end.

The policy only increases if the BHP is drastically raised.

Give Brentachre a shout too! They gave me a good quote on my dc2 against other company's.
Also gave a cracking price to swap to k20 in the future.

Thanks for all the advice/recommendations :nice:

I'll be phoning about either tonight or tomorrow night so will try everyone mentioned

Got this sorted out over the weekend

Have went with Greenlight after getting a fantastic quote from Neil... Over £250 cheaper than any other quote I got!

greenlight were super cheap for me to £500 cheaper than my other best quote, and neil and the team are great to deal with

After all I've seen on insurers Greenlight seem to be pretty fair! Srsly, charging money for any kind of mod of which it isn't even clear wether it adds any power at all is not fair my eyes. But then again, seems to be normal in the UK.

On the other hand: 45 quid for trackday insurance, yes please! Damn cheap compared to where I live.
