can anyone recomend a good insurer?

hi ive just phoned up a few different companies getting quotes etc. although affordable, they are a bit too much. Sky wont insure me fully comp so thats a last resort. Phoned admiral, as i was hoping to pay it monthly they added £500 on to the premium they gave me making it a silly quote! any help would be greatful. i was expecting to pay around the 1600 mark (am i being nieve)
 
the cheapest quote i could find was bout 1800 from moneysupermarket.com, i`m 21 and have no no-claims due to bein a named driver for nearly 4 years and where i stay ain`t exacly what you would call safe lol :(
 
cheers, i dont trust moneysupermarket or gocompare etc, my mate got quoted 611 for his del sol 3rd party, after a bit of searching he got 613 with admiral fully comp.
 
yeah ? cheers for that, will do a proper search closer to the time.
 
How about Skyinsurance ?
 
He says sky won't insure him fully comp.

Do Sky actually give out a discount because i am not sure if they do. I Phoned up and forgot to mention at the start that i was with a few car clubs and at the end i mentioned it they just said ok but didn't change my quote. To be honest i really do doubt they would give people 20% off anyway.
 
You tried A-Plan, got disgustingly expensive quotes everywhere else and they gave me a great one...

yes we do... one of our very first questions is are you a car club member? Also, it depends how you get hold of us... if you ask for a quote via PM we will already have note of the fact you came from this club.

I just insured mine with HIC which gave me a good quote as its a second car with no ncb, 310 fully comp.
 
I am 20.....2 years no claims

I got a quote of £830 with elephant.co.uk

That is the 10 month bonus accelerator though :shocked:

Any callback with a quote for me? Last i heard the sales guy was going to try a few more underwriters for prices but no-ones called me back since I gave my list of mods :nerv: :rolleyes:

Ahh forgot that i had noted it down on the website first. The quote you gave me was 3500 pounds. So your saying i actually got a 20% discount aswell so my quote if i was not a member would of be around the 5000+ pound mark :shocked:
 
yeah elephant is cheapest yet quoted £1340 compared to £1800 from moneysupermarket, quite a drop !!:D
 
i just checked on elephant, it was dearer for me. i have a no fault incident and an sp30. which dont help lol
