Carbon Coupe Project ( Then & Now )

I've abit of time to myself today to make this so This is my build thread of my EM1 coupe From the start until now.... Enjoy

First thing I did to the car was service this is it totally standard and had a few scratchs here and there.

Engine bay - It had a lil ractive induction never heard of it but let off quite a good noise at vtec but i knew i was changin it at some point the rocker cover looked like some1 tryed to repaint it black didnt succeed.

So then i changed the induction to Top fuel carbon and It seemed to make a difference i also loved the look of it still have it on the car today!

I had in my head was just buying proformance parts for it and head straight to mondello so i got this J's racing rep manifold heat rapd and all! but it was made for a teg and were it meets the decat it was much bigger so i sold in the end

I didnt like the look of the Irish plates so changed them and must say it changes any cars look.

Had this amazing day of sunshine 1 day early in the year and took advantage for my first clean of the car at this point i didnt no much about the top brands for cleaning and touch ups it was just a bucket of god knows wat and a sponge

After some time i got a good deal for a HKS Superdagger cat back! in the middle of fitin it and realised it was made for a teg as it didnt reach the back of the car got few bits rewelded and it sits perfect now.

I was then invited to be in a show by a friend in Kilkenny wasnt gr8 at all but it was my first show and i was excited n the coupe got a lot of attention so i was happy!

Coming home that day on a convoy heard a noise and this was the result wen i got out of the car at home!

I changed for OEM fogs and they hooked straight up gave the car a polish n wax.

Just kept the car clean was the mean thing for me for a wile n went to a few meets.

Got a new lip wanted some different to every1 else (hard to do these days) so i got a Jun front lip left it shiney black, this is Dariusz workin any on the body!

A few weeks be4 Sleek just gettin the cars ready.

Most resently I wanted to paint a few things so using my head i rang USDM Guy & DA6DOD straight away got straight to it and after a day in the rain i felt we achived our goal!

Between doing wheels and painting other stuff we decide this was a must to!

I was delighted wit the result and so were others so got myself to work on the body and kept her mint and was asked to do a photo shoot wit the Promo girls for Transmission.ie

Finishing touchs for the car includin Blox wheel nuts and a serious clean for Sleek!

its abit out of date actually coz i got this 2 weeks ago only had a chance now to do it! got my alarm :cheers: proxsemity sensors n all! postman got the fright of his life wen he walked past the car the first time! :lol!: love it feel just that lil bit safer that i can start doing stuff to the inside witout worrying it cud be gone in 60 secs wit no alarm! but its the business!! :thumbup: cheers to JP at custom motion he really luked after me n the moth wen we went down!

Love the way its all carboned out haha! recommend this to any1! good price to!

Last weekend - went to Tuning foctory to get the wheel bearing done n ended up being the first customer in there new shop :cheers: which is savage lads!!
some difference to the other 1 n just around the cornor. Andy as some amazing ideas for the shop as he walked me around it cant wait for it to be finished! :thumbup:

Anyway cudnt find which bearing was gone so had to guess n i picked the front drivers side. the lads got to work n with in n hour or 2 was fitted perfect on the car.

stayed around for a chat n watched them prepare the Teg for ITCC the following day went straight onto the M50 n the sound is still as loud as ever but in fairness to the lads it does feel stronger n stiffer then be4! :thumbup: obvusly i chosen the wrong 1?

To add to all of this! for ages now i thought 1 of my disc brakes was skiming on the pads but weirdly enuf it only makes the sound at 3800 revs??? :scratch: wen slowing down!

is it the clutch about to go by anychance??

Excedy stage 1 next weekend :thumbup: n im defo going back to the lads at TF savage work :thumbup:

UPDATE..........

Took out the back seats and metal polished every bit boot, back seat section, panels.

Some diff on the road with handling + NOISE IS EAR BRAKING!!!!!
HKS exhaust is like something out of Hot version :vtec:

New Rear Strut going in on saturday Polished silver or blue :scratch:

Took a pic up the mountains of Dirty Dublin :thumbup:

The Finished Product after 3 hours of cleaning the day be4 Japfest

Used all Meguiars best NXT Gen stuff then I had a small car polisher n it turned out savage! recommend getting 1!

After getting up at half 5 to meet the rest of the stand and hit the road for mondello and cleaning it all morning! I forgot the camera :facepalm:

Need Advise!!!

The house is under constuction at the mo and I had to put my car just down the road in my antys driveway (Loads of space) The car is going to be sitting there for 4 weeks now until the house is back together agen :lol!: I want to do a lil project
At the HH meet yday this teg had the front arch wings pushed out wit washers exactly like ud rase ur bonnet! shud i wit the coupe? i thought it was

Had the first half day off work since Feb!

yday and i got a couple of things done

FINALLY.

New Toyo Proxies all around

and they are the business!!!

Even just normal driving is perfect but if u put the foot down its so effective so quickly. Feel really safe driving it for a the first time in ages

(Pro parts did the job, Fair play

)

After that i got selfish and went to my home shop TF

Got a new gauage to to brighten up the inside abit!
TimeX RPM - Black Sleek look with a Red needle finish.

ALSO got a feature with MIJ Mag Yday

Next Sunday pics are been taken
