hello everyone im Luis with another project and im going to do it bigger than my first mugen equipped em1 well its 2000 honda civic, my goal is mugen equipped and rhd ctr and more legit honda parts.

well lets start with this thread
bought the honda civic on March 3,2013
clean title
with a h22 swap but no matters all i want it was to be Clean title the rest of the car would be restored and fixed

well i had a big talk with steve from HMO-hmotorsonline.com and told him my plans for the hatch and my goal and well i started to buy parts :)

purchased the JDM Ek9 ctr trunk with OEM wing also


i started to tear apart the car and take everything off literally





more progress :)




after a long day all the oem interior parts were out and SOLD right away to a

it was nice to see the car almost gutted


something that caught my eye was that the hatch had JDM thin moldings already at least it had something jdm about it and legit :)



the following week i found a buyer to pick up the H22 complete motor for 1200 USD currency :)


the engine bay looks a lot better now time to work on it

INSTALLED THE JDM EK9 TRUNK AND WING TO SEE HOW IT WOULD LOOK AND ITS STARTING TO LOOK MORE LIKE A CTR HATCH


PURCHASED WITH STEVE AT HMO A JDM ITR RHD CROSSMEMBER W/RACK AND PINION AND LCA
ONLY BC IM GOING K20R BC IT WILL SIT ALOT BETTER IN THE HATCH



PURCHASED THE JDM EK9 CTR DOORS WITH MIRRORS FROM HMO ONCE AGAIN CANT GO WRONG WITH HMO.. LOOK THEM UP HMOTORSONLINE.COM


DECIDE TO DO ANOTHER STEP BY REMOVING THE USDM DOORS AND INSTALLED THE JDM EK9 CTR ALONG WITH IT JDM EK9 MIRRORS

after picking up the rhd clip and all the other goodies i came to drop it off so that it can get worked on already :)
its a jdm ek9 civic type Rx

ONCE THEY CHECKED EVERYTHING OUT AND IT WAS READY FOR ME TO TAKE IT HOME I COULDNT WAIT :)
AND IT WAS LOADED ON TO MY TRUCK




we started to remove everyting in order to get to the RHD firewall
complete jdm ek9 front end
jdm FR bumper
jdm ek9 ctr fenders
jdm ek9 ctr hood
jdm ek9 ctr hood
jdm ek9 ctr lip

TOOK OF THE ENTIRE FRONT END



we got this done very quick robb and beewired jumped on it fast also



AND YES ITS A CIVIC TYPE RX

i went to HMO, steve is the best always having the best jdm parts in stock and always in gread/good condition
-jdm ek9 ctr steering column covers
jdm ek9 ctr antenna
jdm ek9 brand new shift boot
jdm ek9 brand new type R emblems


went to also get new parts from hmo once again and wrapped them up so when they are ready to be used theyll be taken care of

jdm ek9 ctr door sills
jdm ek9 ctr thin moldings
jdm ek9 HONDA ACESS BNIB strut bar very rare
jdm gathers radion w/10 disc changer





u usually see itr strut bars but these are CTR strut bars

A lot of work here good man for putting in so much time and effort will be an awsome ek9 rep when finished

i purchased this wheels the following week on Oct 10, 2013 and well this build thread is a restoration so either everything is new or gets restored

condition were okay

after seeing the wheels decided to get them restored and i went with Willy also known on IG or FB as @willywerx

Some great work so far, so how do you go about modifying the firewall to take the pedal setup etc?

WELL THANK YOU SO MUCH AND ILL ANSWER YOUR QUESTION RIGHT NOW AND YOULL SEE PICS OF WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT BUT ALL U HAVE TO DO IS DO FIREWALL SWAP BUT HERE IN THE USA ITS ILLEGAL TO TAMPER WITH VIN NUMBERS SO ITS NEEDS TO BE APPROVED AND CHECKED BY AN OFFICER TO DRIVE LEGALLY RHD HERE IN THE USA STATES

AS I WAITED FOR OTHER PARTS I CAME ACROSS THIS MUGEN WING W/NO 3RD BRAKE LIGHT .IT WAS LOCATED IN PUERTO RICO SO WE WORKED A DEAL AND IT WAS SET

ONE NICE PURCHASE I DID TO HELP ME WITH MY BUILD

FINALLY THE IMPORTANT DAY CAME IN OF GETTING THE CAR VERIFIED AND HAVE ALL THE PAPER WORK STRAIGHT TO DRIVE IN THE RIGHT SIDE RHD HERE I COME

PASSED AND IT WAS BLUE TAGGED


AFTER REMOVING THE JDM EK9 CTR CARPET
I DECIDED TO TAKE IT OUT SIDE AND WASH IT AND GIVE IT A NICE DETAIL TO HAVE IT RESTORED


PURCHASED A BOX FOR THE WHEELS AND PUT THEM AWAY SO THEY DONT GET DAMAGED AT ALL STARTED TO GET EVERYTHING IN PLACE AND WRAPPED THEM UP
 
Fail, not an ek9 Rx. Still, I admire your efforts, this will be a very clean replica.
 
Cant get any closer i suppose, takes dedication to chop up a ek9 and an ej9 to make the closest thing possible

from what i have found out the VIN #s for civic type rx begin with ek9-120.....
correct me if im wrong

well yeah its the only way to have a rhd registered with no problems with cops and dmv...bc we have to wait 25 years to import a real ek9 civic type r which i will ;)
