G'day chaps
I've recently purchased a set of springs from hotbits (clearance special) and the springs were specifically made for an ej9 (95 onwards-)
I went to install the springs and the front came out perfect
But when I went on to do the rear, the springs I took out (Oem ones) where tapered smaller at the bottom and the circumference of the coil spring itself was a little bigger, which means, when I installed the after market ones, the bottom of the spring didn't sit on the perch of the shock properly and the top hat was too big for the spring
Have to add also that comparing the front and rear springs of the kit (hotbits coils) that the tears are progressive and also 2 inch longer then the fronts
I've always thought ej/ek' are the same car and share the same suspension components, but from what I've gathered and tested these last 2 days, seems that the rear shocks are smaller on the ej9 compared to my ek4 (vti-s for the lads up there)
Now I'm stuck with a set of springs I bought and the rear don't fit properly, is there something wrong? Or incorrect?
