civic jordan from hamilton


Hy there guys and gals I shall get pics up soon just swapped the gt3's for grids looks soo much better I've probably spent £500 on parts for it to get it roadworthy and Im a mechanic doing my own work jeez the guy was very rough near enough every screw was loose all seat bolts on passenger recaro were loos aww man what a job I'm having lol but hey I love it I know at the end of the day I've made it what it should be again hehe ;) that's good to know as I was blaming the previous owner lol!!!!!

She doesn't look to bad from the pics but sounds like he's totally bogged the interior anyway. Good luck with bringing her back it's good to see it being restored to what it should be!

Nah the bodywork is pretty good it's had a very good respray at some point but still rust bubble coming through ;( yeah the interior was disgusting wjen I got it the was sick in the yellow gear gator the windows didn't shut as they probs hadn't been lubricated since the factory and I appear to have 2 passenger recaros!!! Lol not to mention the door card screwed on so wrong it was near enough impossible to put on properly as it had bent to the wrong shape the guy above should be banned for his sins haha!!!!!
 
Where are the rust bubbles about? The rear arches?

There was sick in the gear gator? That's just rank! Guy should be banned from all cars by the sounds of it!

Least it gives you something to do with your spare time lol

Rust is around the rear arches you guessed it! lol coming through where it has been resprayed =[

yeah it was disgusting there was fuses blown 2 sets of sub/amp wiring running through the car the rear teg seats have just been sat there not had the cloths changed to ek rear seats so im on the hunt for them lol

yeah thats true its all i do lol i love working on cars and this is my third ek so its all very familiar haha!

trying to sort out a hesitation at low throttle openings under load i.e. up a hill
replace dizzy cap coil and rotor arm (which i was going to do anyway) just anoying starting to think its fuel problem now??
 
Glad you are taking the time and bringing the car back to like mate.

Haha cheers mate there's nothing better tbh!! Er that might be a bit tricky lol as I live on an island in Scotland haha!!! I go to knockhill maybe 3 times a year though if u can reach that far haha!! Lol

Ha ha yeah well it was an odds on bet it would be the arches lol. Have you checked round the rear of the car for any leaks? Maybe why the rust is coming back after a respray!

I had an ej before the ek so quite familiar with them too but loads of people on this site know **** loads more than me so it's great for learning!

Hmm sounds strange mate, how are the electrics in the car? What's the clutch like?
 
yeah lol allways the arches! lol nah it was a good respray but not that good they obviously just sprayed over a rusted panel hehe =[

yeah theres allways someone who knows more then you!

electrics are ok considering the rest of the car haha! just done a test on the TPS and its showing 0.39v closed and 0.50 fully open so im on the hunt for one atm! lol off to the wanted section haha! desperately after a new 4-2-1 manifold and decat also an oem ek9 spoiler then the wee tilit brackets you get for them
 
just tested tps again in daylight this time! lol and its showing 0.53v closed and 4.66v at wot had the injectors out also to check the little gauze filters and they are clean dunno what else it could be replaced plugs,cap,rotor,coil only thing i havnt is ht leads but its only at low revs accelerating under load pulls hard in vtec and doesn't missifre ect
 
I ain't sure at all mate, sounds like you know more about engines than I do so probably not much help, try starting a thread in the engine section or do a search, think its a google search at the top of the forums list someone might have already had this problem!

ok no worries buddy searched all over google hehe hence the parts ive replaced/checked =[ lol ill start a thread though cheers mate!
