so just a quick one really, need the car to get to work so going to order a clutch tonight so want some advice really. its a daily drive track car with a full decat exhaust and induction kit. Apexi power fc ecu and a toda racing flywheel, a little treat I found out last night when I pulled the box off :D love toda stuff.

so im thinking a dc2 oem honda unit would do me just fine but not to sure I can easily get hold of one fast.

also have another option that my mate dropped round to me today, a stage 4 CC clutch he had on his turbo ek. not sure how many miles its done but has seen the 1/4 mile a few times lol

just feel its a little over kill for my 180bhp nine lol and looks over 50% worn.

Oh dear lol my brother done that to his Saxo clutch.

lol you are on it fast 2night

was it a vts ?

epic little find with the toda flywheel tho dont you think ? last owner wasent sure if it was oem or not

was going to buy a racing one with the new clutch if it didnt have one aswell

Wouldn't buy that clutch, will mince the flywheel in no time lol not like your cars overly powerful so stock clutch will be fine.

Yeah got to be on it to get the posts up lol
Yeah defo a nice find.
Nah was a stock 1.1 the little nut case lol

lol at nut case, yer them rivets are close to eating the flywheel dont you think ?

Personally I would go with a Competition Clutch, I run a stage 2 which feels like a normal clutch but can take a bit more power.

Yeah they are quite close, but then they are like that from new as you'll know in the mg. done alot of 1/4 miles isn't a good thing either

Oh and if you want OEM simauto sell em for about 190...

yer i know they only come with like 2mm when new but that does look really low, dv8 you think I should stick the stage 4 in ? or buy a stage 2 ?

Yeah I'd go stock, quality is Likly to be higher. It's torque that kills a clutch and obviously these engines don't make mega torque.

Ye ive heard the oem clutches are pretty strong, my oem excedy has taken some real abuse and is still strong.

Blueprint clutch from the motor factors. For a near standard Engine i wouldnt use anything else.
And you might want to get the flywheel skimmed if you get a paddle clutch.

I wouldnt bother with the Stage 4 mate - overkill and will just be a pain. Plus as its worn you'll be having the box off again sooner.

Go with the OEM or Stage 2.

went with a honda b18c oem in the end

im I right in thinking they are stronger or the same as fitted to a b16a etc ?

I know this is too late but

" that what you get for not double clutching like you should"
