Driving to work this morning i stop at some lights at a roadworks and im in 2nd gear with the clutch pushed in, and the car starts to.shudder.forwards as if im pulling away, i quickly change to neutral and give the pedal a few.pumps and evrything is fine until i pull away and i cant select a.gear so i give the pedal a.few pumps again and it changes into first.no problems, second gear also fine then theres a slight crunch into 3rd and then 4th is quite stiff, every time.i had this issue on my commute id simply pump the pedal a few times and it would be fine unless the clutch was in or out for a period of time,

I recently changed my engine and cant remember if i bled the clutch or.not, could this be the issue.or is it a slave/master cylinder problem??

Yes will either be air in the system or a leak from either of the cylinders. Quick visual check will soon confirm if there is a leak.

Pretty much what you need to do..
Start with the least expensive and most common issue...

- Check for leaks
- bleed the system
- replace slave cylinder
- replace master cylinder
- replace clutch
