Hi there,

Basically my track ek9 has kayaba coilovers with swift springs 22kg front and 18kg rear with helper springs and valved to suit and buddy club front and rear camber arms.
I do not do many track days and need to take these off as they are to harsh for everyday driving.
I am looking to get a new setup without breaking the budget.
1.) What spring rates are suitable for fast road and occasional track days (car is turbo charged).

2.) I have been looking at HSD monotube coilovers which they can have custom spring rates or BC br coilovers. Which one is better and has anyone had experiences with HSD? Seems to have good after care as they are in the uk and have all the features of top end kit.

Thanks in advance

I run hsd daily and will be going on track with them in the next few weeks.

Had them for on for about a year now and they are spot on :) will see how they are on track but I have no doubt they will be great!

I find anything around 8kg front and 5rear are good for a mixture of road and track.
My track car only has a set of cusco zero 2s that are of that spring rate but I get round most tracks fairly well, also turbocharged. I'll be wanting to go stiffer soon because of crazy aero ideas I can't get rid of lol

What ones do you run? Its a new company and don't want to be stung with cheaply made coilys?

Awesome i was looking at getting 12kg front and 9kg rear, half of what im used to. My swift springs maybe for sale if your interested

My Coilovers won't run springs that stiff unfortunately, not sure they are easily rebuilt either.
I think your spot on with the rates tbh
Should still handle a bumpy road old but you'll still have your stiffness.

Not too sure if my coilovers can be rebuilt. I'm sure there are companies out there that do I want a set that is based in the uk with spares and after care service lol

Meister r do custom rates and valving to suit.
Based in uk and a vendor on here so possible discount to be had.
Worth a PM surely

Have a look at Yellow Speed, we're the European distributor. If you use the car mainly on the road then the Dynamic Pro Sport range will be suitable, but if it's a track car then Premium Competition (as used in Civic Cup) will be best.

They have a 15 month warranty which is handled by us in the UK. And we're always only a call/email/pm away.

Thanks
