comp test

hi did a compression test on my 96jdm spec 1.8 type r and got 190cc per cylinder is this compression good are bad what should it be
 
Results will differ from one tester to the next so wouldn't worry about actual compression figure once the figure is pretty consistent across each cylinder. By the way did you have the throttle open whilst cranking the engine to check compression?
 
Also disconnect the fuel injectors to stop it flooding the engine and washing the bores.

Mine got 230psi the other day:

Got 270 psi on the last comp check - all cylinders within 1% of each other.

Yeah wouldnt be worried at all with those figures like compression tests vary alot like vtec6000 said , they should only really be used to see the difference between each cylinder .. You can have great compression but knackered valve guides.
