i would just buy d16 single cam are cheap to get. built bottom end when motor finish swap it over.

Depends what turbo kit you go for this will be the main cost if keeping the block standard internals. You can get a custom turbo kit for 1200-1400pounds. Injectors another 250-300. Custom larger diameter exhaust ~200. You will probably want to upgrade your clutch and get a larger core radiator so allow another few hundred for that. Swapping a d16z6 or y8 intake manifold to the d14 would be advisable also. As for tuning it depends on what EMS you go for and selected tuner. You would probably want to budget £2500 to
cover everything. 200bhp should be reachable with a good tune and healthy block.

Yeah was thinking that :s
but just wanted to be different lol

Different is good. Different where a turbo is involved is even better. I'd say go for it man, bet it would a hoot to drive!

Haha TURBO is awesome that's what i was thinking
but that's alot of money
still dunno tho
if I was to do it it wouldn't be for bludy ages tho
unless I win loads of money some how lol

you could go b series for alot less! and push out similar figures. Unless you spend a fair amount of money.

this is cool
i was thinking about setting up a turbo on mine
but i hsve the d15z6
wasn't sure of what to get or if the stock internals would last very long?
and what about an ECU, might need a new one

vtec6000 - is that all there is needed to buy, i know its expensive, but its not that much faffing

Yes that's pretty much the bulk of it if staying stock block. D15 with stock internals seem to handle 250bhp without issues. The key is good parts and a good tuner mapping it for you:nice:

dude i would just swap over a D16z6 because its a low compression block which is good for turbo... they're very cheap enginesand you could get for about £100... run about 220bhp low boost for daily drive... and you will be suprise dude... im selling my engine with driveshaft, skunk2 inlet, lightened crank pulley, gear box with stage 3 clutch and maybe the p28 ecu... pm me and il get back to you

LOL so what's a D14 ...High compression ???
D14's have even lower compression then D16z6 9,1 :1 to be exact.
I've seen several Stock D14's on boost about 6-7psi which run around 180hp at the crank and around 200nm of torque without any issues .
There's one D14 turbo with ITB's and cam that runs 170whp on 4 psi i think also on a stock bottem end without any problems.D14's are stronger then you would think :)

Its very tempting but I cant imagine a full turbo kit for that price would be very good tbh, quality I mean
