D15B mpg

Ive been reading up on the mpg figures for the D15b. Its the 3 stage vtec engine thats in the Jap vti civic and in the vi rs civic. They might be in other cars but im not sure.

Anyway its been said that they get up to 50mpg and a lad on another forum said he was easily getting over 40mpg in one with a turbo.


Has anybody had one of these and ever seen anywhere near this kind of mpg

Im after a car that does really good mileage and Id rather get something like this than a diesel. plus ill be sticking with an ek

My old EK3 with its D15Z6 engine would average at around 40+ and I can't say I was taking it easy all the time so I can imagine it could do even better. And that's a 2 stage eco-VTEC only...
