Hi !

I just got a nice Vibrant 4-1 header for my b16.
It's used and has hit the ground and now the bottom of it (few inches)
has gotten flat...

I was wondering if there is anyway to get it fix without spend too much $$
otherwise it's not worth it and I will install them as is.

Thanks

take it to good header/exhaust shop and just get it repaired, if its bad you shouldnt be fitting it to car

I had a hks manifold and i crushed the bottom of it. i took it to my work and cut the flat bits out. got some stainless plate the same thickness and shaped it to suit then welded it back on. i also ripped the flange off where it connects to the cat as i went over a cattle grid at about 80mph and the car bottomed out so had to make a new flange to.
shouldnt cost to much to fix tho.
if you can stainless steel weld try it yourself.
cheers

I saw Cals manifold when it was damaged also and it was actually better when he got it back! I have an HKS mani at the moment and it has been flattened on the bottom by the previous owner also so I'm gona get that fixed too! good luck!

make up some plugs , get an airline, pressurise the header and warm up the dented section with some gas and it will pop out, done this loadsa times on mx bike pipes,,

Motorcycle exhaust pipe repair manual

Thats a good idea!
i dun this befor on my old mx bike 2. it mite have workd on my mani if i never had i hole where the dent was 2 and the metal was folded in really bad so i doubt it would have popped out. this would definatly work on a small dent!
