Friend of mine has a problem with his car (New Zeeland):
I have a problem with a ('94) DB6 integra, with a ZC engine * (1.6 SOHC, double carburetor , non VTEC).
one like these: There are no models for this company ... 3_7/11859/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The engine stutters a lot, and drops dead often when warm.
Idle is not smooth at all. When I rev it, it sounds better.
It's clearly running too rich, cause the spark plugs are really black.
Ignition timing is also way off, I checked with a timing light. Spark is way too early. I tried adjusting the distributor, but it's still way off.
Checked the cambelt, and it seems OK, pulley's are aligned as they should be.
Since I don't know anything about these (rare?) engines and it's carburetors, I hope someone can help me out!
Thanks a lot!
