Deans B18 ek4 vti-s


Was going to reshell this but after realising the new shell would need more work than I originally expected I decided against it, instead me and my good mate at M@C autocare Edinburgh stripped the front end off on Sunday and spent the whole day at it.

The jobs done were,

1: old rusty slam panel off and new one spot welded in place
2: full front strip off and both inner arches replaced with new plates and seam sealed then undersealed.
3: build back up :( takes longer than you think

Not much of a update,

Peeled the vinyl wrap off the bonnet, flattened and polished back up the best I could, my very good friend at m@c autocare Edinburgh is going to re do it for me asap. Also got some whiteline drop links for the front to go on and a trs 4 point harness just need a fixed bucket for the drivers side :)

had a day at it today, literally stripped the whole car down and undersealed EVERYTHING, took me 5:30 - 6hours doing it all so thought it would be good to put the coupe front bumper and new lip on that i got sprayed courtest of m@c autocare ofcours :)

really pleased with it.

Great color! I like how it looked with those holes in the bumper, looks very racey like that.

hello all,

been a while since i updated this or posted pics, got myself a nice fixed bucket and harness ;) (will get pics up asap) but also the other day i got those carbon canards from emperor performance. very happy with them and now that they are on im even more sold on them. even though they are fiddly as hell to get both sides set the same :))

Looks great with the canards mate. Am i right in saying you were going to paint the bonnet?

And i know how you feel with the mot, i was the same this year :D What was the advisory? Too loud? :p
 
thanks my man, i was going to but now with the carbon canards im just going to give it a fresh coat of laquer :)

haha no it wasnt the exhaust ( mot inspector is a friend of a friend ;) )

just a brake pipe which was changed on saturday straight after :)
