I know it seems kinda idiotic to ask this question around you guys but i'm new here :) just checkin around and stuff :)

Im looking around for a dc2 or an ek9 and yes, I'm 18. I live in malta so an ek9 wont be that hard to insure although a dc2 would be definately hard to insure.

soo.. can anyone help between the difference of type r and type r x?
and what would you consider..? ek9 or dc2?

Thanks a lot,
Kyle

Think I found what the type R x actually is..

EK9 Honda Civic Type R History

1997: Following in the steps of the Honda NSX Type R and the Honda Integra Type R, the EK9 Honda Civic Type R was introduced in Japan on August 22. The EK9 Honda Civic Type R is powered by an exclusively developed 1.6 liter DOHC VTEC B16B engine that makes 185 horsepower at 8200rpm. The car was only released to the Japanese Domestic Market.

The lightweight B16B engine features new valve system allowing higher engine speeds, reduced engine friction, improved breathing, and increased compression ratio. Main features of handling include a increased body rigidity, reduced weight, hard tuned and very stable suspension. Helical LSD, sports tuned ABS, and Potenza RE-01 tires. Also, the EK9 Honda Civic type R is equipped with aero parts, exclusive 5-lug alloy wheels, red RECARO seats, MOMO SRS 368mm steering wheel, a titanium shift knob, and carbon type meter panel.

1998: There were mild face lift including front and rear design, and center panel design.

1999: The Honda Civic Type Rx was added to the Civic Type R series. The Honda Civic Type Rx features a CD player, body colored retractable electric door mirrors, power window, manual air conditioning, keyless entry unlock system, aluminum sports pedals, and a carbon type center panel.
