I've seen some people talking bout and done a conversion of Distributor type ignition to Direct Ignition type in their B16B, but i can't seem to find any info on it, can someone explain the advantage/disadvantage or any website to help me with?

You are referring to coil on plug ignition, basically i only know what my tuner has said, its a much hotter spark and there is far more adjustability as far as tuning, my tuner says he can add 30whp+ to any turbo civic with the addition of coil on plug setup and retune.

I'd like this...it'd mean the police here can't measure my rpm here while measuring the amount of decibells coming out of my exhaust and therefore a faulted measurement :D

we talking individual coils or like the blaster coil that msd makes? i had the msd setup a long time ago and it was total waste atleast for what i was using it for. converting to individual coils is big $.

Definitely not worth the money you would spend, especially not for an NA motor. The stock ignition system is very competent.
