I found these photos...looks like a B16/18 ITB set, custom made from a AE101 4AGE toyota base....

Anyway my question is, would something like this be beneficial? It is cheap, and the TODA ones go for about $2800 in Japan new.

I was just wondering what the plus and minus points might be of a custom set like this, as opposed to a top quality unit like the TODA.

I understand that ITBs are only worth installing on pretty hard tuned engines....but at this price, I am tempted to snap it up for the time being, and build a motor later!

See Photos below....Any opinions would be appreciated...

Cheers!

All depends on there length, inside diameter & general build quality. With the first two you'll need to make sure they suit your setup/application & the last one is obvious... Its actually quite hard to get a throttle body setup to work "properly". Theres a fair bit of maths & experience involved...

The Toda / A-sport versions are based on the 4-age throttles too , they buy straight from Toyota and adapt to suit IIRC

big gains to be made, just needs to be done right and one must remember cams and distances from the cams plays a massive role.
