Was wondering if anyone has taken their car to DMS (Dixon Motorsport) for any works? If so, what was your experience like?

I'm thinking of going there for some works to be done, but would be interested to hear if anyone has had any 'first hand' experience of dealing with them?

I've had a few dealings with Dms.
Had alignment done on a few cars now. He also replaced all the seized bushings on the s2k.
What are you going ther for?

I may go and get the car mapped there, change cambelt, get geometry setup etc

Did you have a good experience and good professional quality of work in your opinion?

He had a pretty bad rep on the DC2 forum for work on Type Rs, I knwo I stayed clear of him based on that (And Eurospec is on my doorstep and their work excellent).

I've never had an issue, I'm pretty sure he gets someone else in to do the mapping. I've never had an issue and I've been going ther for at least 2 years now.

Not had first hand experience with them, but have head of bad reviews from a few different forums. I have used hayes dynotech which are near to them and have had good experiences with them. They have one guy there who is a honda nut and knows them inside out.

I'm a hands on type of person and when my cars on the ramp for whatever I'm under it checking it out and chatting to the mechanics doing the work.
They never seem to mind me asking questions or talking to them about **** really lol
Two polish blokes do most of the work, nice fellas tho not the stereo type lol

All seems quite mixed the views, but forums can be an easy place to bash companies, some are justified some not

I'm like Jesse888, I like to check out what the guys are doing to my car.

Maybe worth a trip for a quick chat? Is Dixon himself ever around?

I'm mainly interested in mapping work and anything that requires a ramp that I can't do on a driveway or things I'm not confident in doing

So, this Dynotech, is this where DMS get their customer's car mapped as well? Any experience with them?

I'm not to sure on the mapping, Thers a dyno about 100yards away from Dms shop, I know they use that, best to call the shop. Dixon sometimes ther sometimes not,

I think what I want to know is if they are not any good, what other tuning garages are worth considering for an EK9, whether for tuning or just general works that people on here are using?

Any first hand experience recommendations welcome. Probably want to travel no more than 1- 1.5 hrs to get to from Cambridgeshire.
