ectune

Hi

I'm an eCtune user and all I can say is that IMHO is the best fuel management system your Honda can have.

Don't even think of PowerFC, Hondata or eCtune is the way to go and all that you'll ever need.

PM me if you get any doubt.

When you say "the best fuel management system your Honda can have" how and where are the hondata or power fc inferior to ectune? What qualifies it as such?

I said IMHO, and to support mine opinion, here it goes....

eCtune is more than a fuel management system, is a tuning tool.

Some Unique features are:

Have the best and user friendly GUI

Tuner Graphs(Live plots)
-live Time vs AFR
-live rpm vs Afr/Boost
-rpm vs Accel(in development)

Direct communication with Innovate, PLX, AME, Zeitronix, Tech Edge widebands
No ground offset issues anymore (reads afr values digitally through serial/usb port)

3 GPO (General Purpose Outputs) with most complete parametrisation.

Besides that, it's cheaper than Hondata S300 and PowerFC (also counts)

Not happy with this "lead", Calvin (eCtune author) is releasing new versions every monthes some of them with new features suggested by eCtune users/tuners. Trying to say that eCtune "unique features list" is far from being closed.

Hope this answers your question.

I'm not trying to sell anything, just helping a mate.

Best Regards

Hearing good things about ectune alot of guy's who were tuning with chrome seem to be turning to this

i didn`t imply that you were trying to sell anything, i really was interested in finding out if eCtune is a worthy rival of the established hondata and power fc fms. I`m fully covered!!!:D how much price difference are we talking about really? thanks

I've only mentioned that I wasn't trying to sell anything not because of you but because I know that foruns administrators don't like much this kind of post because they look like advertisements. In relation to price is 199.99 USD for the software (eCtune Pro version) plus aprox 249 USD for the hardware (ostrisch/demon)

At the moment i'm unable to reply to PM's (something related for having few posts), do you have MSN? add me filipedua@iol.pt

That`s more than half compared to the S300!!!:wow: One more thing: does it work like the S300 -with the oem ecu or is it a stand alone?

It's like a S300, it will need an OBD1 Honda ecu as base (normally P28's or P30's)

ive been told ectune is slightly cheaper than s300 but i never actually heard of ectune before so wanna know how it is

ectune is ALOT cheaper than getting an s300.

chipped ecu=100$
s300= 700$

dyno tune=500$

If your tuner does not have a lot of experience on crome (years). I would suggest using hondata, ectune or neptune.

I think artech-tuning is for now the only authorized tuner in the UK.

You have 2 options.

-They as authorized tuners have the tuner/dealer version of ectune and can make a custom tune for your application, save/burn the rom in a chip and you're done. Only tuner/dealer version has the ability to burn roms.

-If you prefer to do all the tune or just make some adjustments by yourself i'd recomend the eCtune Pro version, you still can get it tuned by artech tuning or anyone else that's experienced with hondata/neptune/crome/uberdata with the bonus that you can make the adjustments you want after the car been tuned

No, though i have been looking into it....

It will most likely have to wait for a while now...Other "committments" have come along:p:secret:

aren't you guys also 4getting about AEM-EMS? :nice:
the really good from what i've heard & seen.

For me I went for the S300 since with customs and shipping it to me became same price as the s300 pre socketed p72 obd2 pin-out, BUT I seen and heard only good things about eCtune the only down side i saw is that you have to buy the dattaloging part of it troghout from elsewear!

Still the features are amaizing and have so much more updates than hondata! If you guys can get it very cheap, go for it, and the 500$ you may spend on dyno with a eCtune specialist is worth each penny!
