hey guys,

what do recommend for a header? let me know your opinions.

toda, mugen, 5zigen.

isn't a 4-2-1 header better for street use & a bit of daily driving than a 4-1 header?

In general, yes. Although the best header designs are now 4-2-1 that perform well in both low, mid, and high RPM's.

This is some stuff from TODA. Suggests if you track the car then 4-1 is best at making power. 4-2-1 is best for street;

Development based on the data acquired from competition and continual engine bench testing.

We have also drawn from our vast knowledge of the VTEC engine, exploiting to the full the characteristics of the engine to improve the performance.

For ultimate power the 4-1 type exhaust manifold design is the one to use.

The problem is that power is only made from 4,500 rpm in the process removing drivability.
TODA racing have designed a 4-2-1 system which restores drivability15% more torque with only 1.5% loss of power.

i asked a shop in japan to give me a quote on the toda ones & he told me that they were discontinued. :angry2:

Tested on B16B engine.
