hi folks today i bought a set of eibach pro lowering springs (35mm) to go on my standard ek9 shocks, was this a good decision?

my way of thinking was the standard shocks are already good for everyday use with the odd day track, but also improve the look of the car

people kept telling me to get coilovers but i decided it would be very difficult to improve an honda's set up as the car feels very good already out the factory

Eibach are one of the best springs out there and there a brand I would always recommend.. I took out my coil overs for lowering springs :nice:

i used eibach pro springs 35mm drop all round, the car sat more from the front then the back and handling wasnt that good to be honest

Damping is always a bone of contention when lowering on stiffer springs, as you can end up underdamped and make yours handling worse.

That said Eibach are the shizzle. The material is high grade and so generally they offer weight savings against other springs.

This is the setup I have on my car. Now I've removed the interior the rear sits stupidly high compared to the front (it has always been higher, but not so much), I will see what cage does to the way the car sits. I have never used anything else, so I can't comment on how they compare to other suspension solutions. After 15 years the OEM dampers are probably ready to be replaced so..... I reckon coilies are on the cards!

Eibach pro kit springs are great on the EK stock shocks.

Back to the original question, the Eibach Pro-Kit will work with factory shocks. We don't do any guess work at Eibach.

Good choice! 1992 is when I started to use Eibach springs, still use them today. :)

They also support the local track events and contests for drivers. Top company.

I agree with John. I have heard these springs work great with the stock dampers but I decided to change to adjustable dampers when putting these springs on my car. I opted for Tokico HTS dampers (which are amazing and I would highly recommend them, if you can find a set that is).

I think from a handling perspective, I wouldn't want to use anything else on the street (especially UK roads). The Tokico shocks made a huge difference when compared to stock type R dampers. The only set up that was noticeably better on the car in track conditions was the Tein Flex. If you're not going to adjust your ride height for different tracks I think adjustable dampers/sports springs are the way to go.

fitted my pro springs

the back sits a little higher than id like it tho, is it supposed to be like this? ive noticed the standard suspension ek9s sit a tad higher at the back aswell so maybe its supposed to be like this aswell when the lowering springs are fitted, any thoughts?
