EJ6 and EP3

If the vin tag said EP3, pretty sure it will be an EP3....but EP3 means EP Type R basically, just like the EK9 is the EK Type R, EP2 is the 'Sport' version in the UK with the SOHC engine, looks almost identicle on the exterior though, and Honda regularly sold the EP2 here with the EP3 bodykit, spoiler + alloys. (My friend has one)

oh i see...well in Canada and US...EP3 here they put only one kind of engine and that is DOHC i-vtec engine (K20A3...with 160hp) since in here they don't sell real type-r... i think those EP2 that you guys are talking about are only in UK .....guess the difference is country..

yes in Canada and US they made that colour.....but its not a type-r, the chasis are the same but the engine is different..

In the UK, we have EP3 with the K20 engine, 2.0 DOHC VTEC, which is a Type R.

EP2 is exactly the same shape, but has a lesser spec, different engine, different interior (not Type R seats etc), no red badges, smaller rear wing . It is called a 'Sport'. EP2 is a 1.6 SOHC VTEC.

Then there is EP4 which is also a 1.7 CTDi DOHC, but comes in 4 door model. (I believe in the US, this comes with a K20A3 Vtec though....wierd).

EP1 is a 1.4 SOHC, non Vtec. Bog standard model basically!

(Or at least that's how I understand it!)

Did you guys not get a Type R EP3 in the US and Canada?

lol....we didnt get the type-r ep3, coz if we do...he's gonna get one we didn't get the four door ones too...

my friends car looks like this on stock 2002 Civic

as you can see, it didn't came with the sideskirt...

then in 2004 they release the civic hatch with side skirt, but same engine...

and i think they release a limited civic hatch with a lip kit that looks like this...then a again same engine...

i don't know about the chassis of those two cars but those are the cars i only know that we have here on canada.... i don't know in US tho....
