Hi folks. I bought a 1996 civic hawaii for my new project. the chassis is perfect which is a good thing as its the only usefull part of the car. couldnt afford an ek9 so this was the next best thing. it may not be seem welded and hav lighter glass etc... but it has no abs, no sunroof, no air con, no air bags, no soundproofing and ofcourse, no interior apart from door cards and the top half of the dashboard so its as light as. I also bought an mot failed civic mb6 for £400 to do my conversion. only thing wrong with the car is a hole in the floor lol. most of the conversion is plain sailing but there are a few questions that i need answered.

firstly, can the 4x114 hubs from the mb6 be fitted to the ej9? reason being i like the speedline wheels.

do i need to buy an ek4 handbrake cable for the brake conversion?

which engine/gearbox mounts and brackets must i buy to fit the b18c4 into the ej9?

is the b18c4 throttle cable the correct size or will i need the b16a2 one?

will the standard ej9 clutch cylinder/cable (which ever it is) work with the s9b gearbox?

can the ignition barrels be easily swapped over?

can the mb6 dials be fittted into the ej9?

are the front seats interchangeable?

any help and advice here would be very helpful.

thanks

how your swap coming on?

you can use the existing mounts in your ej9 but you will need to change the engine mount bracket that bolts on under the cam belt cover on the passanger side as well as the rear engine mount bracket.
honda part numbers: 11910 P30 000 and 50827 S04 N10

I'm doing the same swap, trying to work out the immobiliser wiring. the immobliser on my ej has two more wires than the one from the mb6 doner. just need to trace the wires and figure out their fuction.

which wire loom are you using? I've modified the loom from the mb6.
