EJ9 Engine decision

Hi there !

I know there are a lot of experts here on ek9 and itr and I was wondering if you can help me with my difficult decision :|.

I have an ej9 1996 1.4 L. I just removed the engine and I want to put a bigger engine. The b16b or the b18c.

Which one is the best ?

I want the car for good handling and good speed.

Only in terms of stroking it, otherwise it is identical to the B18C and can have the same things done to it. It will probably boil down to cost. A B16B engine should set you back around £600, a B18C nearly double that. Hideously overpriced for shagged old high mileage engines, but there you go...
