are the shapes all the same and does some have longer extending bumpers, iv seen few civics and some seem longer then others but i dont know.

Extended bumpers? And they are the same dimension but the ek9 chassis is stiffened from factory and lighter too and I also believe the facelift models had some chassis strengthening addons from factory. Others correct me if im wrong

My mate EK4 bumper looks so much longer than the civic that is up the road. mayb because my mate ek4 lowered and has no front numberplate.
 
^^^ I get what you mean now on standard civics it has a black plastic that holds the number plate if you look in my signature pic you can see it and it dose give an illusion of the bumper being long.

my mate dont have it. il might take a pic of my mates car and show you what i mean.
